WAR
When a war breaks out and causes chaos in your head and causes you to completely lose it.
It’s okay to scream into a pillow. It’s okay to cry loudly to let it all out. It’s okay if your body shakes non-stop. It’s okay that your whole body overheats from head to toe.
When you are going through this, it feels like you are going to explode like ammo that has been stepped on and is being triggered.
As you lay in bed trying to recover try and make a list in your head things that help you calm down.
These are the things that help me and hopefully they can help you too.
1. Salty foods are my favorite new thing to reach for after having a panic attack.
2. Being left alone in a quiet environment helps a lot.
3. Unplugging from social media and life in general helps eases my mind.
4. Baths with epson salts or bubbles while Jack Johnson playing in the background.
5. Sleeping is the most powerful recovery method in my mind.
6. Writing has always been my go to of letting go of emotions.
7. Going for a walk in nature somewhere usually works.
The list goes on and on, but I’m sure you have a pretty clear idea by now.
Don’t ever feel bad for bailing out of plans, because if something breaks inside of you you do not need to apologize for being triggered.
I hope you feel so much better today. I know how exhausted you are from fighting that powerful war inside of you.
