Geo Tagging in Hawai’i

First of all… STOP ✋🏻 visiting places just for Instagram and Tiktok content. 📸

Instead of visiting a popular place in Hawai’i, for example, for a photo, actually learn the culture and history.

Don't be part of the problem. 🙈

🌺 Hawai'i suffers from overtourism, housing crises, water pollution, and people being priced out of living here because of high rents. Etc.

📍 The Hawaiians never wanted tourists to discover sacred places and expose them on social media, word of mouth or by vlogging about them to their followers when geotagging is 100% responsible for destroying sacred places.

In order to minimize this problem, I personally do not tag the exact location. Instead, I tag a more general area to minimize the problem such as "Keep The Hawaiian Islands Beautiful" or "Kingdom of Hawai’i."
