What Aloha means to me as someone born and raised in the Hawaiian Islands
I have heard lately that there is no Aloha here. I believe that you have to give Aloha to receive Aloha. Be Aloha. Give Aloha.
Aloha is not a touristy phase. Aloha is given when respected. If you don’t show any respect no Aloha will be given to you.
The word Aloha has become so commercialized and touristy that many have forgotten the true meaning. Aloha means so much more than the tourist phase hello and goodbye. To me it is a lifestyle. It is about breath, intention, love, compassion and sharing. It’s hard today to practice true Aloha, but I keep on trying.
Be the aloha you wish to see in the world.
